Performing Schools Info

Schools are the heart and soul of the ASB Polyfest.  They provide the groups, the performers and the speech makers for the festival.  Auckland Secondary Schools come from as far north as Mahurangi to Wesley and as far south as Tuakau Colleges.

There are sometimes guest groups from outer regions and also overseas that perform at this Festival.  This is at the discretion of the stage coordinator concerned and it is that schools responsibility to contact the ASB Polyfest and request to perform.

The key communication link for schools is the School Liaison, who can be reached at: schools@asbpolyfest.co.nz. or 09 523 4212.  The School Liason will communicate directly with the school Cultural Group Coordinator (CGC).  It is the role of the CGC to ensure that communication is fed to all their specific cultural groups.  Each school allocates a TIC and tutor/s to each cultural group.

School Media Authorisation

Schools will need to nominate one person per stage ONLY to take photos and video of performances.

We would like to acknowledge our Kura Matua 2012 - Kia Aroha College who have created the artwork and theme for for this year's festival.
