The ASB Polyfest is a festival made up of five stages: Maori, Cook Islands, Niue, Samoan and Tongan. A sixth stage also includes the DIversity Stage, which provides a platform for other ethnic groups, such as: Fiji, Tokelau, Indian, Chinese and many more.
This stage currently takes place on the Wednesday and Thursday of the Festival. Secondary Schools perform cultural song and dance with a speech competition proudly sponsored by Statistics New Zealand for the Pacific stages.
In 2012 the Polyfest Trust will be piloting a new host school model. This involves six secondary schools hosting a stage each. For more information on the 2012 model please Click Here![]()
